Weather Update Friday 8th January 2010
As yet no decision has been made regarding the reopening of school for Monday. We will endeavour to open however, we must feel confident that your children can remain safe travelling to and from school and whilst in school. We will reassess the situation on Sunday 10thJanuary and update the website as soon as a decision has been made. As always we will contact local radio stations as well. Many thanks for your patience.

Thursday's Weather Update
Unfortunately Gibside will be closed today due to the amount of snow that has recently fallen and as advised. We apologise for any inconveniences caused and will update the website as regularly as possible to notify you of any changes for the rest of the week.

New Weather Update
'Based on up to date advice it would seem unlikely that Gibside will open to children on Thursday 7th January. However a final decision will be made as early as possible in the morning when we will update the website. If there is no update on the website this could be due to technical difficulties so please listen to BBC Newcastle, Real Radio and Galaxy Radio Stations. Thank you for your patience in these difficult circumstances.'

Friends of Gibside School - Parent and Teacher Association
Friends of Gibside School or 'FOGS' as they are known, are a group of parents and staff who support the school by raising vital funds towards equipment and essential items that benefit all our pupils.
We really need as many parents, friends and relatives as possible to support us our next meeting on Friday 27th March at 9.30a.m.
Reminder !
Please send in any old mobile phones... there will be a prize for the pupil who collects the most.
Collection bags were sent home earlier this week for old clothing, curtains, bedding e.tc which need to be returned to school on 18th March for collection on the 19th.
